Just to clarify, Jay is sort of our “Charlie Brown” he’s an every man who does lose a lot but keeps hanging in there. I am a firm believer that if you keep hanging in there long enough something good will happen. Will it be this time???
Charles Schulz pointed out that Charlie Brown was not a loser. A loser would give up, and Charlie Brown did not. He had moments of despair where he came close- but in time he would always rebound and try again.
I’ve always thought to never give up, but ALWAYS lose, was one definition of the term, “loser”, which Charlie Brown epitomized. Not a quitter, but certainly a loser.
Okay, to redefine my question, why is Dana upset if she clearly does not care for Jay romantically or otherwise unless she is possessive of all males in her office or is she just protective of Jay’s feelings?
I don’t think Einstein meant that. He may have been referring to anything that might be an impossible task to begin with. If it can’t be done, but you keep doing it thinking eventually it can, then that’s insanity. At least, that makes more sense than to suppose he was speaking of developing skills.

Charlie Brown continued to perform the same actions over and over always expecting the results would be different. So Charlie Brown was insane.

I think Dana is more upset with Jay’s reaction. He is not thinking with his brain….
