Just do what we did when the school wouldn’t let us wear our shorts but the girls could wear mini skirts all the boys showed up wearing mini skirts on the same day! Not only was it a laugh riot that evening they had an emergency school board meeting and we could wear our shorts from then on!!

Tacopielvr: What Night-Gaunt doesn’t tell you is that he is in Houston. If the temperature is 90°F, the relative humidity is 90%! The British consulate there pays “tropical hardship” bonus for the extra cost of so much air conditioning. Up here, almost into Oklahoma, we may have higher temperatures, but at least the humidity is usually low enough for the sweat to evaporate.

Of course you can put on more clothes when the thermometer goes above 100 F. The question is “would you want to?”.

I hate heat!! It’s much easier to warm up than it is to cool down! Here in WA we don’t usually have too much hot or cold weather, it’s perfect! I would never move to AZ or anywhere in the sunbelt. BTW summer doesn’t begin till June 22.

bigpuma: I have no idea. I have actually been in such conditions – in Texas, we call it “Houston weather”. I have even been in 80-80 conditions in Vancouver, BC – not only didveryone who could go to the beach, but got into the water! I do know that the temperature cannot get colder (in F°) than the relative humidity, but I know of no upper constraints.
