Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Meanwhile…. I hope Arthur is prepared for when the Hendsley’s stop by to tell them about their vacation in Des Moines.
Several hours of 325-pound Al sitting in the “new” yellow chair, laptop in his lap, waiting till all are accounted for to begin his Power Point photo presentation…well, that oughta cure Arthur of his persistent chair-itis.

It’s interesting that the Ballard St. that you posted from Arcamax features colors that are so much brighter than the GoComics version! It’s very startling, actually. I guess color quality wasn’t on the repair list last night when the maintenance crew worked on this site! LOL
Shirley you have every right to be concerned. Arthur is spending way to much time with Carl. He needs to get back to the garage and waste his time there, doing something. Reggie is confused, the kids won’t come over, Stan doesn’t call and Ernie is out of the picture all together. That’s the risk you run Arthur, some will simply give up on you. But not me! I will say however you look much better in red with your blue suede shoes. As soon as my cow suit gets back from the cleaners I’ll come over and we can play gin rummy.
Fun! Well, I’ll be headed out shortly and I’m taking along the main course today (not what you think – it’s just that he usually cooks dinner for us because it’s at his house). Rump roast was on sale at my Sprouts so I have nice slices to hammer out for some lovely Braciole. I already minced some garlic, grated some Mozzarella and Provolone and chopped the parsley last night. And I’ll take along my home made red sauce; I could not find my meat hammer, but he has one and I’ll use his oil and wine.
AND, I’ll take along some of 2 of the dark beers that I found on sale too.
Arthur is merely continuing a cherished family tradition begun by his Great-Grandmother Audrey. She was thought by some in the family to be a bit peculiar. His nephew, Alphonse, also likes to dress-up as a chair at family gatherings. His costume wasn’t homemade, but purchased at Stel’s Costume Annex(50% OFF!, and I think it looks pretty sharp!
Annette … you asked a bunch of questions last week about double posts and such, and some to me directly, about the Tiki Bar.
I answered you at some length (as I tend to do…. sorry, guys) but I don’t know whether you ever went back to see.
I believe it was last Friday, the 16th…let’s see….
Yes…. click here and go towards the last commentsWe’re in the same time zone, actually both in N Cal….but I keep very late hours. So the only times I usually answer questions are at the end of a forum or sometimes by posting on the next day’s strip when it comes out the night before…. but I prefer not to do the latter lest it bother anyone.:)
Hi neighbors, I’m back and I waited up til midnight but no comics. I’ll be gone til Monday nite. In my absence, I’m buying yak fries for anyone tonite. Just so you remember me!
@ Bev or anyone who wants to. Please post the Utube called “Linda, Linda, listen to me” It is hilarious, and Bev, having a little grandson, you will love it!
HI, BEV!Sorry to have been away so long…I’m Much better now, thank you…but I’m not sure what you mean by “normal”? …
Are you planning on eating at Eskimo Joe’s while you’re in Stillwater? they have a nice pecan-smoked pork sandwich…and their manditory cheese fries…
Gosh, it seems like ages since I was Iast was at the Tiki. I am glad is survived whatever shut GC down. Thank heaven for generators. Do you think we should put a bomb shelter in the basement just in case they try something more dire next time?
@ BeviekI never heard of “Swims”, but Eskimo Joe’s has been there since 1975, if that’s any help…I’ve encountered people wearing Eskimo Joe’s t-shirts in places as far away as Hawaii and Israel…
@ HappyYou’d probably be more comfy with a carrot pillow…
…like this guy…
Speaking of being sleepy ( Sigh!)I’ve gotta turn in, I’m all tuckered out…
@Annette, I often marinate meat; boyfriend did his pulled pork BBQ in beer. My braciole last night turned out just lovely – tender with just enough sauce for the brown rice. I froze the rest of the rump roast after trim and cut (for a stew in 2 weeks). I have to deal with realtor this week so I’ll let him plan next Saturday dinner.
@Twinkly, sorry too hear about your meds (I don’t trust, or take any). The carrot pillow is cute; I might make one for a patio chair.
Those stick-on eyes would be fun for something, too.
I’ve SO much to do to get the house ready. So glad that BF did not mind storing my 9 boxes of VHS tapes. We watched Amadeus again last night.
I did not get much sleep last night and working hard on putting away all my projects and stuff to show the house.
Current hot projects (ASAP) are the embroidery on his green square dance shirt to match my blouse, making at least one new swim suit for myself and finishing a few more of those scrolls. I also have dance practice with him every Tuesday and a class to teach in shoemaking next Sunday.
Wow! I Love the ”Twinkly” Greeting sign!…and Ted himself there to welcome me!
Re: “The One Night Stand” costume… I sincerely hope those drawers are non-operable!
I was glad you hadn’t bought any of those “Armoire” costumes for the Costume Annex, I hear they had a big recall because of “wardrobe” malfunctions!
I’m sorry I missed you yesterday, too! Stop by tomorrow for a nice cuppa tea. It’s supposed to be rainy here most of the day so I’m planning to stay put in the house…

Al…. it matters not.I went to Creators cos it’s linked on this page…it’s probably up at several sites.
SusanSunshine Premium Member over 10 years ago
X …yeah, but he should have kept it…. he doesn’t really know how to do PowerPoint.
Al Jr. sets it up, and Al Sr. bungles the showing, so it takes forever.
The problem is, it was getting so expensive to get slides…. but is this better?
And BTW no relation was intended to any other “Als” on this site or elsewhere.
