My Doctor still wants paper faxes from the pharmacy, not emails, when it’s refill time. This puzzles some of the pharmacists. Some things NEED to be on paper. In case of earthquake, tornado, fire, or flood…and no power. No power = no computer = no paperwork = no proper assistance, proof of ownership, or banking records. Most importantly, any medical information and instructions. Otherwise? Computer it is!
Depending on circumstances, $80 is a lot of money for somethng that is not vital for survival. I have $78 in the bank and it has to last me four more weeks. That is food and gas included. It just blows my mind how removed some can be from the everyday struggle of people around them.
All the “parer-less” offices I’ve worked in have also kept files and archives of printed documents in case the network and the back-ups became corrupt.
I didn’t see it a a $$$ issue, at all. It’s more like at a certain stage of Pluggerdom, things disappear and reappear like you’re in a dang old 1966 episode of Bewitched. Oh, I hate when that happens!

He MUST have done it on the computer, I don’t see a typewriter. All he’d need to do is re-print it.
