That is an odd comment, lamourdelafantom..saying King is a hack when talking about a movie based on the book he wrote. I”ll admit the movies made from his books usually stink but the books themselves are usually very good.
LuvH8 and OpenWings, that line IS used in a Simpsons episode. I don’t remember which one it was, but it was one of the Treehouse of Horror eps (ie. Hallowe’en). Bart gets a Krusty the Clown doll for his birthday that Homer bought last-minute from a guy that sells Cursed Occult Objects and frozen yogurt (known as Frogurt).
Anyway, the doll comes to life ala the “Chuckie” movies and tries to kill everyone. The punchline of the segment is when the priest guy arrives to save the day and says, “oh, this doll’s set on EVIL,” and there is an actual switch on its back that has a setting for Evil and one for Good.
Man, I gotta get a real life. No wonder my family has nicknamed me “Font of Useless Knowledge”!

Certainly a change, but perhaps an awkward one.

Aaah, Lio? I don’t think that’s quite the kind of change to which your “Thought for the Day” calendar refers….

The horror…
I think the last panel was extremely fun to draw.

Thank you lamourdelafantom. I haven’t seen the movie, but I do like Tim Curry.
OpenWings, it does sound like something they would use on the Simpsons (maybe they have). I know Crusty can be pretty frightening.
