Brian K: you must be joking. Over 58,000 died in the Vietnam conflict alone. Add to that all of the losses in all of the wars and conflicts since the civil war and you have your answer.
In answer to the question I think you’re asking…no, to my knowledge no strip character was lost. This is in honor of Memorial Day. (To other commenters: Remember readers here are global; not everyone knows this is Memorial Day in the U.S.)
Thanks for remembering. Yours was the only comic in my paper doing so. Sad….I remember when they all honored those who gave their lives to allow them their ability to publish what they do……….
Again, revising history. You do realize that the US was the last nation to get involved in Viet Nam, right? That the French were there before us, and asked us to help. You also realize that the Aussies were there as well? Same with Iraq being a multi-national endeavor.
Maybe, just maybe, someday, you can stop the partisan crap, think for yourself, stop repeating talking points, and be able to show respect to those that gave their lives for a greater cause

Would Mallard Fillmore or B.C.have included Stars of David? I think not. Thank you, Mr. Stantis.
