When Dad has to go outside in 2 feet of unshovelled snow with a wind chill factor of -10, wearing only socks on his feet MAYBE he’ll understand Sophie’s reluctance to do likewise.
My dogs used to break the land speed record on those kind of days. ZOOM-done-ZOOM-inside.
“minus” 10 caught my eye. Is Sophie metric? It’s been 40 years since Canada switched and I’m still saying ‘below’ instead of ‘minus’.
Is this something else for me to learn? I’m an American living in Canada and it’s been hard enough to get used to the metric system (don’t think I’ll ever master it) so you don’t say 10 below zero? You say something else?
As a Canadian, I say minus 10f as -23c. (or just BFC! BFC! BFC!)
Just waiting on the world to truly convert to SI measurements. and for the USA to understand that Canadian’s are American’s too, but not part of the USA.
When you got to “go”, you got to “go”. What’s to understand. Besides, how many of you would want to “go” in two feet of snow with a wind chill of minus 10?

Depends where you put the word I think cymbol

Me too, cymbol, but then I don’t live in Canada any more. Even when I did, I converted back to fahrenheit.

10 below instead of below 10 is what they mean. I think. That’s dangerous this early in the morning.
Oh yeah……………………Bad Sophie!!!

Celsius or Farenheit, it is cold enough that it made Sophie’s business, dad’s business.

If you think you’ve got it bad, rebound, Suthunuhs get apoplectic when they’re in England or Australia and they get called “you Yanks”…
