Indonesians are banned from eating the durian fruit in many public places because of its foul smell- in 2012, a flight was delayed because passengers couldn't stand the stink of durian fruit on board! Megatherium, a giant sloth that lived more than 10,000 years ago in South America, weight is much as a modern African elephant.

Now half of our workforce is not able to work more than 30 hours a week and is subsisting on wages that leave them below the poverty line. Decent jobs are still scarce and employers are abusing those desperate for work because they know they can.

Anthrocon had a notorious incident with durians. See, there’s an activity where volunteers sample exotic, unpromising foods….
