I don’t think people are forgetting our vets, Lalo…its the government that is…and not all of the government, either. This ’toon would fit better in the Editorial section of GoComics, I think. ;)

And, sadly, promptly was forgotten.The current debt has a large component of two of our longest wars, fought off budget on “emergency resolutions” as if they were unanticipated.

Wow! I almost left a callous reply simply base on the length of your comment. It looked like a rant. Then, I reconsidered and actually read your generous re-print of this insightful and, sadly, prophetic speech. These chilling words should be as well-remembered as the Gettysburg Address.
