Sam will very likely be a special teams player and backup. (There’s no question he could start for some teams.) Remember, the Combine is mostly a laugh, and being the SEC defender of the year SHOULD count for something!
Sam might land somewhere if not St. Louis. If the Seahawks proved anything last season, it’s that you can take a roster full of guys that other teams decided weren’t “good enough” and win a Super Bowl with them. Schneider and Carroll have spent the past few years proving there are only so many things you can measure at the combine.
