Golf is chess for athletes: it requires skill, and although I don’t play either of them, I’m sure I’d need a good book to read while the other person makes their move.
When I was a kid I would caddy for my father. He threw his clubs, wrapped a few clubs around trees, and broke them over his knees while walking to the next hole. Sadly, he never did learn to be a good sport about any game.
