Uhhh, I do, Gweedo!!!

Nice to see Chipper again. I was wondering what happened to him. And I’m still wondering what happened to Slim’s daughter Gretchen.

Slim is the most misunderstood character in the entire strip. He needs a moment in the sun to prove he CAN really shine.

Looks like he does his job well.

Chipper is Clovia’s brother, I think.

This is very well done! Beautiful art, a good joke, and the return of a lost Wallet.

Glad to see Chipper. Maybe we will see more of the Wallet family from time to time. The art work is always well done.

On the other hand, a mechanic has hundreds of different models to work on, and a doctor only has two.

And as a mechanically-minded person who has a doctor as his life-partner, I can only say that the skills for working on people don’t transfer readily to the task of fixing machinery!

PA’s do not do surgery.

My mechanic makes more than my doctor’s assistant.

Chipper is the oldest child of Skeezix and Nina, and is 64 years old. His twins, Gus Alley and Kathleen Elly, are now 17 (born Christmas 1992). I point out their age because Jim was drawing them as a couple of ten-year-olds when they were 13 or 14. My non-canonical take is that Gus started mowing lawns to earn extra money in 2007 and has developed that into a small lawn-care business. I didn’t explore what Kathleen was doing, aside from attending high school.

The joke I heard had the doctor outraged at the cost of fixing his car.

The mechanic said “Yeah, but you work with the same model year after year…”

When Dr.s work on patients there are times when techniques can go wrong. I had a procedure done on my neck, which has effected my Rt shoulder be glad when i see the specialist. I’ve meet PA I think they fill in when Dr. is out.

Yeah, well, you know what a physician’s assistant is?

Someone who picks your pocket while you’re not wearing any pants!

I think of a PA as much like a Navy Corpsman in the field; this is the character you actually deal with, the HM2, not the LtCdr MD. Don’t pi$$ him/her off, or your shot card gets lost…
