We used to have a cat who spent much of her time in the summer sitting in a particular window, trading insults and curses with the squirrel who lived in the tree just outside. It always made me laugh.
I had a friend who had a cat that was friends with the squirrels and they would chase each other around in the trees and on the ground. It started when the cat was just a kitten, climbing the trees where the squirrels lived. As far as she was concerned, the squirrels were just playmates, and soon the squirrels accepted her as such. It was very cute.

‘Feathers’ ought to be glad that he wasn’t “Selection number two.” on Peekaboo’s Menu!

The squirrels sit on the fence and scold my cat. She bounces around from window to window in our apartment and yells back.
