Unfortunately, yes you can. You can see little movies of all the stupid mistakes you’ve made during the day. And if you don’t stop the tape and run something positive, it may extend to your whole life.
Only if you keep your eyes shut. If you open them, theywill adjust to the dark and you can see things. The roomshould have no windows or let any light under a door forit to be totally black! Or, use an eye mask!
When Charlie Brown couldn’t play, and Linus took over, the team went on a brief winning streak. Lucy told Charlie Brown: “Don’t let your team down by showing up!” (Or maybe it was Violet.) And of course, they had a two-game winning streak when the other teams forfeited. Linus: “Wow, one more forfeit and we’ll be in first place!” Later, they won when Rerun played and was so little he was walked every time, including walking with the bases loaded to win. But Rerun bet on the game so the commissioner of the league made them forfeit it. Probably a few other examples.

Well, [[[[DUH]]]], Charlie Brown!

If I remember correctly, no. They win as long as he’s in the dark.

This is as minimalist as a strip ever got, but I laughed out loud at that final line.

They won several when the other team forfeited by not showing up.

Didn’t Peppermint Patty take the mound and lead them to a win once before this storyline?

All dark.

Seems to me that’s the opposite of peculiar.

hard to imagine how much black ink Sparky used during this arc.

They won games here and there, but they usually don’t mention them in future strips, going back to not winning anything.

Makes it easier to draw the strip, doesn’t it.

A game-winning home run. I should have specified. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fmxW9UeFWGA/Txhfr8mUikI/AAAAAAAABS0/rI66PHS2UWw/s1600/30peanut.gif
