This is the main reason I never listen to critics.

This was me during “Out of Africa”….we think that I never even made it thru the credits….have never been able to see this movie without falling asleep….:-)

I must be old.. I remember when movies were long, like plays in a Theater. At mid-point, you had to have a break to get up and stretch (and anything else that might be necessary), so that you could finish watching the film.They still do it on certain Movie Channels without commercials, like TCM, when they play ‘Gone with the Wind’.

MaxCat: In the case of Lawrence of Arabia, TCM not only takes the full intermission time, but continues the audio of the background music to be played during that period.
