The success all the men admire. Right. Just think of how much money they could maybe rake in if Andy had a job. I don’t suppose winning any of these competitions paid anything? Maybe he got trophies for Flo to dust every week.
Now I have to wonder just how far it is from the soccer field to the “Pump” pub. Wasn’t Andy able to run in and have a pint before the start of the second half?
Well no matter like Susan points out it has to be more then twenty feet!
somebody mentioned some time ago that Andy played Snooker, not pool, being British and all. shame the writer changed the game, Snooker is quite interesting.
in Britain, they play both pool and snooker. the official snooker table is larger than the official pool table, and there are a few more balls on the table. different rules for scoring, but similar skills required.
and an aside to ”Joe” i’m pretty sure sure that what North Americans refer to as a ‘beer tap’ is called a ‘beer pump’ in Britain (which makes sense, in a way, because the beer is pumped out of the keg.)

I can make the cue do some magic but it doesn’t need to be close to a beer tap. Makes it a little more interesting sometimes! :^)

At the pub they pump it in and at the hospital they pump it out.

Flo should be proud. Not every woman can claim she’s married to a master of idleness. Have Flo buy you a beer Andy, and drink to your success at life.

Andy should visit me… I have a pool table and a dart board. My beer tapper is 3 ft. from the pool table and 6 ft from the dart board…

In England, pool IS snooker, isn’t it? Just as football is soccer.
pearlandpeach almost 15 years ago
Nope. Snooker and American pool different games, different balls and different rules…
snooker can be played on pool table, but usually a Billiard table..

I think the sport in England should be a “rugby” ? as “football” in sport in American.
