Face it. Health care failed because of the astonishing cost. Only the left wing progressives believe that costs can be lowered by fiat. Living in a dream world is what Disney World is all about. Government must act on facts and not speculation and lofty rhetoric.
Senor- my sympathies as well. My niece’s husband had a stroke, lost his job and insurance. Not long after, she lost her “full-time” job as well, and insurance. As he had “pre-existing” condition, forget getting him coverage. I suggested as he’s a vet, not service-connected, they should still look into VA care. They now get help with his medications (co-pay based on income) and live near a VA hospital, so he DOES get back into the physical therapy he needs for recovery and VA covers it. (He too was a “republican” who complained, but was approachable.)
Again, I am saddened by what happened to your nephew. If anyone is a veteran, and earned benefits they may not know they can avail, we need to let them know.
