Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for June 09, 2014
Transcript:
Phoebe: How is my room gone? Marigold: Do not panic. It is a common but temporary side effect of the room-cleaning spell. Phoebe: You didn't tell me that! Marigold: Some unicorns said that spell should come with a warning sticker. Phoebe: How can you put a sticker on a magic spell? Marigold: It turns out you cannot.

I’ve been following this comic online for some time now because it brings me a little chuckle and often a smile, but I find this particular situation absolutely hilarious. I couldn’t stop laughing for a minute or so. And I find myself wondering what lurks in that void. Great work, Dana!

My guess is that when the room reappears the mess will come with it.

I would like to know in what part of the universe is Phoebe’s room now located.

So my question is this: Did the floor disappear to? So if you walked through the door, would you fall into nothingness (or fall through the cartoon panel border like Horace H. Horse) or perhaps float in the air?

Or is it like that walkway in “Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade” and if you take the “leap of faith” it turns out everything’s still there if you just look at it right?

You can put the spell on a sticker, but in the case of spotlessness spells it’s kinda quixotic.
