I love this! I still have problems with the high dive, especially as I get older. Something about the narrowness, the shaking and the distance to the water surface. Then I jump and go through it all again! :-)
The Navy taught us how to abandon ship, feet first. I jumped and it seemed like a long time falling. I looked down just as I hit the surface & flushed every sinus cavity clear to my toes. :-) (Until then I didn’t know my toes had sinus cavities.)
Arianne, nice catch. M22 is one of the prettiest drives around, especially if you enjoy looking at vast expanses of clear blue sweet fresh water..From Manistee, (One of the prettiest tiny towns in the Midwest), to Northport, and then down the other side of the Leelanau peninsula, to Traverse City…Wow!……But Michigan has so many incredibly beautiful roads that fit that bill………. 31 from Traverse to Petoskey, 119 from Petoskey to Cross Villge? How about 2 out of St. Ignace? Or 41 from L’anse to Copper Harbor? And 23 along Lake Huron?….25 from Sebewaing to Port Huron? Wow to all of those…..

Next time, head first! Then you have to worry about losing the shorts entirely.
