So that explains the reason for the light not being broken already – plot factor! Noise suppressors (silencers) are usually illegal devices in many locations (California, Illinois, Minnesota) and ALL must be registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. Just WHERE are these young women supposed to be working? BTW – plastic soda bottles work almost as well as machined suppressors – PLUS, they are cheap, disposable, and NOT ILLEGAL! (unless you are caught using one!)
There are reasons that police restrict the types of weapons they issue that don’t apply to private citizens. A .44 magnum is useful for hunting but a horrible law enforcement weapon, for instance.
And the police have some stuff private citizens don’t have access to.
