Is that booth still operational to do its purpose? I also wonder what its digits are.

If it were in Chicago, the receiver would be missing and gang banger graffiti would be painted all over it.

A phone booth on the roof? Now how is Clark Kent supposed to get up there without revealing his secret identity?

It seems Porsche has come full circle. Their latest supercar, the 918 Spyder, is also a hybrid.[]http://www.porsche.com/microsite/no-substitute/usa.aspx#918-spyder

Funny thing….I grew up in Lincoln, IL ( until I was 16) and I don’t remember a phone up there at all. Checked w/ street view and , sure enough, there it is.

Miguel Indurain has a resting heart rate of 28 beats per minute? Are they sure he’s conscious?

More than two seconds per heartbeat? Did he, like, not move the rest of the time?

The payphone industry did itself in. Once I was at Lambert (St. Louis) and wanted to call home. As I recall, the pay phone required $4 for a 120 mile call! So, on the drive home, stopped at Belz Mall (suburban Wentzville) and made the call for 50c!Easy to see how frequent fliers were the first to get the cell phone industry going!

One man once reported waiting 1/2 hour to use a payphone booth. And when the man ahead was leaving the booth, he was tucking a cellphone back into his pocket!

Corpcasselbury,The fewer beats per minute, the STRONGER that heart is; the more efficient each heartbeat is. Some doctors who have written books on exercise say this.
