Was that diploma on the wall distributed by the same company who distributed the comic (Universal)?

Maybe he means more comics. He may also be talking about the Washington Post which has shrunk the size of individual comics until they are almost unreadable. But then the Post dropped Argyle Sweater years ago.

BTW, I think the correct response from the doctor should be, “BETTER comic section” (i.e., no ‘Cathy’).

If it followed the doctor’s advice, I would definitely buy that newspaper.

You’re a comic strip character yourself, Doc, are you sure you can be objective about this course of treatment?

C’mon, yall, newspapers are much better than wrapping fish and lining boid cages.

They make excellent glass cleaners, the oils take out the streaks.I also use them to light charcoal in one of those chimley do-hickeys.

I’ve gone to various docs over the years for a steadily worsening issue. First doc attributed it to poor circulation and recommended exercise. Next doc attributed it to over-exertion, and recommended rest. Third recommended improving my sleep. Fourth doc attributed it to hypochondria, and recommended antidepressants and antipsychotics. I gave up after that, and have learned to just deal with it until I get bad enough off for modern medicine to figure it out.

That and a bit of news that you can’t get off the internet in half the time for free. Or maybe a variety of opinions, not just the ones that have already been chosen as correct. That could be fun. But more and better comics, in color and writ large, would be a wonderful thing. And the world needs it.
