Caeser: C'Mon man... you gotta mention it. Huey: Sigh... "The Patriot" has all the standard Hollywood cliches and historical inaccuracies about slavery that make the film easy for an intelligent black man like myself to despise. The token black soldier who finds nobility in fighting for his oppressor, the total omission of the brutality of slavery in South Carolina during that era... classic revisionist propaganda trash. But there is some intense white-on-white violence, and the cannonball decapitation was aiight. One star out of five.

I’ve actually seen REAL Vietnam Era battlefield footage which contains a “Cannonball” Decapitation. There is no Clue in the film about What the actual Weapon was. The soldier’s Head just Vanishes between one step and the next..Many Props to the combat Photographer who was doing the Filming. Soldiers getting Shot & Killed all around him and he just Kept On doing his job.Well, right up until the scene that made it pretty obvious that the Photographer himself got Shot. The film comes to an Abrupt End at that point.
