Huey: Give me news of hope, Caesar. Tell me of the leaders who dare to stand against the grave dangers faced by this world. I crave inspiration. Caesar: Says here Al Sharpton is protesting a cartoon for using the N-word. Huey: I'm going back to bed.
I am like Huey, I think I am going back to bed. Paul Harvey said we call the the good old days because we weren’t good and we weren’t old. However as I look around at almost every store and restaurant I go into has help wanted signs posted all over the place. The infrastructure bill won’t help if we can’t find anyone to build the infrastructure. Every construction company owner I have talked to lately tells me that they can’t take on any more projects because they can’t find anyone willing to work. They tell them that can stay home and make more from the government handouts than they can working. This is a different time that any I have seen in my 70 years and not all of it is caused by the pandemic. I am very concerned that the United States is well on its way to becoming a third world country if our politicians keep on thinking that they are in a game to see who can get their agenda passed and be sure that the other side does not no matter what rather than trying to do what is best for the American people.
In case you don’t get it, they’re responding to Sharpton complaining about Dr. King saying the N word in the episode he appears in. Completely ignoring the context of his speech.
