These days, practically every modern media has to have at least one LGBT character. Not that there’s a problem with that, though. I just think that it shouldn’t be a requirement.

Give it about 20 years and all the underrepresented groups will have become represented enough that the characters will be developed to fit the story instead of having their sexual/gender/ethnic/etc. identities shoehorned into the narrative.
