Huey: Hello, is Thomas Dubois in? Mrs. Dubois: He's busy right now. I'm his wife. Is there something I can help you with? Huey: I'd much rather speak to Mr. Dubois. It's kind of a "black thing." Mrs. Dubois: I've been active in the NAACP for 15 years... I may be white, but I've dealt with a few "black things" before... Huey: Your daughter, Jazmine, is suffering from "afro-denial" and "ethno-ambiguo hostility syndrome." I suggest an immediate intervention of positive Nubian reinforcement. Mrs. Dubois: I see... Uh... Tom? Sweetie? There's a "black thing" at the door for you... Huey: I appreciate your cooperation.

I just don’t understand why Tom and Sarah never say Jazmine down and told her about her biracial heritage.

The last panel made me wonder what Sarah means when she says “Black thing” but I guess that’s the joke.

I can kind of appreciate the sentiment of what he’s saying, what is wrong with Jazmine just living out her life as she wants, not what he wants?
