Riley: OK, instead of cutting the grass every week, let's just burn it! Soak it in gasoline and scorch the whole thing! Huey: Burn it? That has to be the dumbest idea ever. Riley: It'll save us time. You're just mad you didn't think of it. I'm gonna ask granddad. Granddad, y'know, if we burn the grass, we won't have to cut it anymore. Granddad: Burn the what!!?? You big dummy! Get back to work!! Riley: Uh, he said it was a good idea, but we're out of matches. Huey: You really are a big dummy. You know that, right?

Riley’s goal in life is to be as brainless, heartless, reckless and ignorant as possible. I can see he’s succeeding at that.

ok, not to disagree over a minor point, but he is really a little dummy, unless they are judging his “dumbiness”. Then it fits

The more I read this strip I like Granddad even more. The Boondocks TV show opened us up to Granddad’s story. There’s more to him than just another cranky old man!
