The Fat Albert movie came out on Christmas Day and I gotta tell you, I just wasn’t feeling it. The series was a grounded slice-of-life show, so the characters going into the real world didn’t make any sense whatsoever and it felt pretty redundant. I always hated movies where the plot involves cartoons going into the real world instead staying in their natural environments, especially ones based on fantasy-adventure cartoons. Two things I can praise are the wholesome moments between the gang, Doris and Lauri and the casting choices were great.
