I gave up on a lot of those magazines when I was single because I couldn’t find recipes that fed only one or two people (or had freezable leftovers). And of course, if you’re buying those magazines, you own your house and can repaint or tear out a wall with impunity, right? Closest I ever came was the occasional article in something like Glamour. Waste of my time and money so I just stopped.

Maybe. Woodworking magazines often say ‘You can build it in a weekend out of scraps.’ Right.
