Afraid I heard George Carlin’s version as a youth and it’s stuck in my head ever since:
How beautiful far smoggy skies
Insecticided grain
For stripmined mountain majesties
Above the asphault plains
America, America, man sheds his waste on thee
And hides the pines with billboard signs
From sea to oily sea….

how about Banana Plane?
N.D.Pendent about 15 years ago
No, no you have it all wrong. The airplane has nothing to do with it at all. She is watching the Gay Rights Convention in the field beside her house.

I guess this could be taken two ways:
1) a pun plain/plane
2) the fact that US farmers, i.e., fertile plains, are being replaced by imports.

LOL whichever way you see it.

eardroppings about 15 years ago
Since no one else has seen it yet, I guess I’ll say it… this plane is headed for the Banana Republic..

Plantains are a type of banana. Plantains grow in Louisiana. Louisiana is in the United States. Ergo, bananas grow in the United States.
angfu21 about 15 years ago
Uh bananas grow in Hawaii and FSM which is federated U.S. territory.
