Well, Bill Watterson was capable of saying “booger” in a comic strip. (“Don’t you hate it when your boogers freeze,” asks Calvin who went outside to play in the snow.)
I recall decades ago, when all Hell broke loose because Doonesbury used the word “sucks”. Newspapers were refusing to print it, some newspapers cancelled it. Quite a to do.
I have seen certain words used on GoComics strips that would have any of us peons banned. They are often the strips that are edgier and not intended for the faint of heat.
Like Dry says, if you are the cartoonist, you can apparently say anything. If you are a commenter, all 7 of those words can get you banned. That piece of tape belongs on the audience, not Stan.
Can I just ask…what the hell is Peter wearing? Does the white collar go with his yellow shirt or his red one? Does he work at McDonald’s with that color combination?
DAZZ Everyone is referring to George Carlin’s comedy act 7 dirty words you can never say on TV. It may or may not be your cup of tea, but it is hilarious.
Tony’s question was actually “What do you think he said.”
But Tony, that’s a trick question! No fair!Do you want to get us all banned?Oh…. maybe you…. sniffle … want to start out fresh with a new group after we’re all kicked out,

I seen a number of words in the GoComics strips that I wouldn’t say in a comment.i.e. on Kliban

I see no question, but mention of 7 words (which I’ll NOT post a link to, either) but I CAN say that Wikipedia lists them under “Sever Dirty Words”.
I never use them except sometimes 2 of them when really in context (and that would not be in public).

@jkiss, I know. My comment still applies; the only place I found them listed was the reference I gave.

I saw one in the Sherpa section that used the Queen Mother of all swear words. I put it in my collection.
