You, Ken? Awwww … So sorry! We recently lost a beloved cat, and this brought everything back before I’d left panel one. Gratitude and sorrow make a bittersweet drink…

All of my cats came to me as strays in distress – I’d like to think that each little one was sent by the one before to keep me company.

I wish I didn’t know how he feels, but unfortunately I do. We lost our pup last week.

We can definitely relate, having loved dogs who are no longer with us, too. This is one of the most moving TINY SEPUKU strips I’ve ever seen, especially the last panel.

Damn. We lost our dog 3 months ago, but this strip brought the tears back. A very moving little strip.

We lost The Golden Nugget doggie in 2009. We still long for his companionship. My husband once had a dream where The Golden Nugget was talking with another doggie and he said, “I’m just guarding their mansion until they get here to be with me again.” I always think about how happy we will all be when we join him in the mansion with many doggie doors, curbside mailboxes to mark, and squirrels that need excessive barking attention.

I have outlived many dogs in my life; each one was and is very special. I used to suffer terribly when each one passed, and I would complain to God asking why their little lives had to be so awfully short. Then in a dream He told me, “So you could love more of them.”

    (and you’ll see them again)…
