Ruthie just tell her your writing to her to say you miss her and hope she is doing well. Or better yet just say something simple and Ruthie like to get Auntie to smile.
What I like most to hear is just what grade they are in and what they find fun and interesting in school and other activities. It’s hard to keep track of my 6 grandkids when they all live in different states.

I don’t think of anyone when I’m watching TV, either, Ruthie, unless what I’m watching reminds me of someone.

Heck, if I got that letter, I would just be impressed that a kindergartner could write that well. Never mind the content.

Ruthie has the little child’s ability for utter honesty, without a social conscience. It can be deflating to receive.
The trick is to keep it for about 10 years, until they are a teen…and then again when they have young children of their own.
