Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Great responses! And for the record, Mercutio called Tybalt “King of Cats”. Hm. Sounds like the perfect role for Garfield in any feline adaptation (er, original version) of the play.
Mercutio was self-referencing an earlier description of Tybalt as a cat-like swordsman, but I don’t recall the details and I’m too lazy to look them up. :)) They’re on the Web, YOU find them. :))))))

NO WONDER GARFIELD IS SO FAT. IT’S BECAUSE HE SITS ALL DAY AND WATCHES TV AND WHATEVER PROGRAM IS ON AT THE TIME. NOT EXACTLY A RHODES SCHOLAR.

Finally, Tybalt’s alternate title makes sense.

You’ve never enjoyed Shakespeare unless you’ve heard it in the original feline.

Minor note: Yes, Garfield’s hairballs date all the way to the earliest strips, back when he looked almost square in profile.
