US now has $17 trillion of debt. If interest rates go to 5%, the annual interest payment will exceed the total of Obama’s “stimulus.”

Then maybe we should spend some money on infrastructure repair, education and research while the money is cheap to borrow/ That’s how businesses do it.

Lets confiscate 50% of the 1%‘s money (Including Sports and Movie Stars). I bet it wouldn’t come close to solving the debt. Knowing Washington they’d see new revenue and increase spending, that goes for the Democrats and Republicans. Face it we’ve got to reduce spending across the board, not the rate of growth all spending.

Hey Night—on a global basis, you’re the 1%. Are you divesting your wealth and giving it to the poor?

Olej: you are wrong. The problem is the left wing agenda of the last 50 years. You can not take it from those who earned and give it to people who have not earned it, and have everyone better off. It simply does not work that way.

You said the 1% isn’t paying their fair share. You ARE in the world’s top 1% (seriously, stop reading partisan websites and educate yourself). Which, of course, means you’re confiscating wealth. But, I can guarantee that you will not be bothered by that little fact. That you will continue to only attack the 1% in this nation because you can use it as an excuse to hate, while actually being part of the problem globally.

Face it. You’re selfish and hate other people’s success, while ignoring your own success.
