So…….it’s alright if the ‘hoomans’ make horrible noise with the vacuum, but not OK for ‘doggie dearest’ to bark…….? Is that what’s going on here…or am I totally off the mark? in the dark? without a bark?
I confess…I was a bit flummoxed by this one this morning…
I think it’s a “doggie double standard” because of the EXTREME NOISE from the evil vacuum cleaner, but the, ahem, modest, polite, gentledogly “bark” when in point of fact we all know it’s more like ’BARKBARKBARKBARKBARKBARKBARKBARK" ad infinitum, until Chazz comes and locks Poncho in the closet! IMHO. :-)
The roomba would solve the noise problem while vacuuming.. I have cats and they react the same way to the vac. Terror, runaway, panic. On a side note the only noise they make is at feeding time and when they chatter at the birds outside.
My dogs aren’t the least bit phased by the vacuum cleaner. I have to sweep around them, then get the spot they were laying in AFTER they decide it is time to move! I have the same problem with the lawn mower.

Wouldn’t that be a human double standard?

Vacuum to noisy for Poncho, but Ponch has to “zip it” when he barks
