Sorry, kid. Most people’s dad’s aren’t cool enough to appreciate the new stuff. See, he’s what we call a “Hipster”, or really a glorified nerd. These people can’t think for themselves and have to hate on the “band of the moment”. They have to call bands “mediocre” because that’s what their own lives are. Fight the power, kid.

I agree. I’m not that big of a Nickelback fan either but I think most people who say they hate them say so only because it is hip to do so.
