Whe I was in Junior High I had a paper route so I always had a little money. There were some guys who were always asking to borrow money for lunch and I thought I knew them well enough to trust them with a loan, but after a few weeks of loaning money and not having any of it repaid I cut them off completely, and once they knew there was no more money my “friends” disappeared and I never did get my money back.
