I’ve got some friends like that and I see them still doing the same thing at her age!

Be nice to us smokers, we pay outrageous sin taxes so those obese soda drinkers don’t have to. They don’t advertise how soon fat people die, but they say smokers die on an average 8 years younger. That’s about 100 Social Security checks less they collect though they paid the same amount in as non-smokers. In other words, smokers are subsidizing non-smokers retirement..

Well, soda drinkers don’t drown others around them with their sodas, while second-hand smoke kills thousands every year. I have no objection to your smoking to your heart’s content, but I would seriously appreciate it if you didn’t force me to smoke along side of you whether I want to or not.

I suggest some time spent as a volunteer at any cancer research hospital. Watching helplessly while every day people die agonizingly, and seeing their grieving families, may give you a different view on the subject.

Oh, and lung cancer is not the biggest killer. It’s the throat and neck cancer; usually starts as a painless lesion at the base of the tongue that you’ll never notice, then it grows until it gets into the lymph nodes in the neck, and then it’s just a matter of time. If you smoke, make sure to get regular dental checkups and have your dentist check for such a lesion. If you catch it early enough, they can just carve out half of your neck and feed you chemotherapy for a couple of years, and you might be lucky enough to live for another five years or so.

yeah, make cigarettes illegal and mj legal(taxed like cigs) and see the economy do better, the jails have fewer inmates.

of course, the cig manufactors would have to move overseas and that part of the country would go downhill again…but maybe, the textile industry would take over the now empty plants and employment would pick back up…….its a thought.

    Dream on P&P

dincha know mj’s a gateway drug….we’d all go to stronger stuff and stuff and we’d all be stoned and the only thing that would floourish would be fast food restaurants and convenience stores supplying the munchies crazed people.

textiles were one of the first industries to move overseas. I doubt that you’d see them come back

So somebody has read from the wit & humor of Mark Twain, I think Sam like it the first puff better every time he lit another one up.
