I was riding the Larkspur Ferry into San Francisco one afternoon and enjoying the sun on the rear deck. A group of young children were playing on the deck. One of them suffered a very minor injury. A called the others over and told them she was going to give therapy to hurt one.
I said, “You’re from Marin, aren’t you?”
“Oh, no.” she told me glibly.
Her friend nudged her and said to me, “Really, we are.”
