I’m partial to Vermont strong cheddar, but not velveeta.

Good choice, Grog. Mine is Swiss at room temperature.

My faves: Colby-Jack, Monterey Jack & Chihuahua.

Cumin Spiced Gouda is one of my faves. Havarti. Swiss. Brie. Mild Canadian Cheddar, and last but not least, marble!

And I like Monterey Jack, too, Lonewolf

I used to love Leiderkrantz. Alas, I believe it is no longer made :( I’ll go with the mouse, Camembert is good.

I vote for a nice hunk of Stilton, with some walnuts and apple slices, and a nice glass of port.

Would he be called a “Gourmouse?” …and what’s wrong with Velveeta (Colby,Swiss & cheddar, blended all together).

Some nice sharp provolone. That’s always the first thing to go on the antipast tray.

Velveeta has its uses in cooking. It isn’t a slicing and eating cheese.

To add to Doctor Toon’s comment, I was surprised one time when I was doing shopping for my Mom, that it wasn’t in the refrigerated foods section.

Ha, that was my first clue, too. Cheese on the shelf? Can’t be the real stuff.

Velveeta makes great cheese sauce! The processing makes it sterile. That’s why it can be placed on the shelf.

When I see “Cheese food,” I wonder what else cheese might be.

No one’s mentioned John Cleese and Michael Palins (python) cheese shop skit…..

Quesos favoritos míos: Cheddar, smoked Cheddar, sharp white Cheddar, pepper Jack and habanero (the last one doesn’t taste as hot as the habanero pepper itself).

The mouse should try the queso venezolano del castor. Only “available” at the Monty Python Cheese Shop.

You can make really good fudge with Velveeta cheese.

skymante, when I see “Cheese food” I wonder what kind of cheese needs to be fed.
