Re yesterday: I’m sorry I asked. I was not being sarcastic or facetious. I have truly never heard of a Rogue Valley in Oregon. I do know of a Rouge Valley near Toronto. I can place a great many cities in the U.S. and Canada, but there are a great many that make me wonder. Again, I aplogize for offending what, this morning, feels like half of the United States.

I tried going back to yesterday’s strip to see the comments but can’t for some reason. Hard to believe people would be nasty about someone not knowing what the Rogue Valley is (I’ve been there…nice, but quite hot in the summer) but some people can get snarky about anything.

As for today’s trip, my parents weren’t big on my friends hanging around and getting into stuff, so my friends’ homes were MY refuge for having fun and just being a kid.

Thus Dawn and Liz became BBF throughout their childhood into high school years.

LadyKat: There are a bunch of Red Rivers. One is the boundary between Texas and Oklahoma and flows into the Mississippi at Shreveport, the other between Minnesota and the Dakotas and goes into Lake Winnipeg. In addition, there are two Colorados; one makes the Grand Canyon, the other flows through Austin and under the Congress Ave. bat colony.
