Garfield is a scaredy cat just like mine. I found evidence of mice in the house. Did my cats chase them. Noooooooo! They’ve gone soft on me.

Boy, that ugly duckling duck went “SPRONG” and I knew it would boot behind Garfield’s butt within many miles away. Poor Garfield! On last panel, he looked terrible mess!

Except that my parents actually had a dog they called “O.D.” which did in fact stand for “Other Dog”, but their first dog wasn’t named Fido.
