Tarzan no longer attempts to “talk” to the animals. just a jungle brawl with a dead creature at the end. I wonder if that gorilla has any friends to do in those two B.T. Slam thugs? :)> TarzanOfTheDeadApesAGowa!!

This is probably a rogue male gorilla thrown out of his tribe for violent behavior—or just one of Tarzan’s old buddies greeting him with a wrestling match, as buddies are wont to do.

My guess is that they’ll stare in astonishment when Tarzan either kills the gorilla or befriends him. I predict he’ll befriend him, and the gorilla will then help Tarzan out against Mr. Slam.

I’m not sure “befriend” is exactly the right word. “Defeat” or “Subjugate” might be closer.

It could be the gorilla that Tarzan released from the Nazi’s castle last story.

The usual stereotypical Hollywood killer gorilla. Just how far back in time does this strip go? I would think with all the gorilla research that’s been done, it would be a bit more updated.

Tarzan has killed gorillas on this strip before. Don’t forget he was raised by another kind of ‘great apes’, more akin to Sasquatch and Yeti, he appears to consider silverbacks a lesser species.
