Oh, boy. Better whip out the apology for this one and now I get why it’s a few weeks late.

Actually, I could see this being the cause for the reruns. I was thinking yesterday that it was odd that Mark would run an Olympic-themed series after the games had closed, rather than concurrently with them.

After the accident, the syndicate might have been able to pull these strips, but no new replacements could have been prepared, and rather than run empty space they plugged in reruns. Perhaps they now figure that enough time has passed. That is more likely if these were slated to run during the second week of the Games rather than the first.

I’m not saying this is CERTAINLY what happened, but it’s possible.

Actually, I’m pretty sure these are reruns themselves from the last Winter Olympics in 2006. I remember cause that’s when I started following this strip, lol.

I’d considered that as well, but at least he updated Dean’s line yesterday to “2010 Philly Neighborhood Olympic Winter Games.”
