Laura: I see 3-d steak every time I go to the butcher. It's not that exciting. Adam: You and I are soo different.

If they can get the technology so 3-D TV (or movies) DONâT require glasses, that might be interesting. Comparing the introduction of 3-D in movies or television to the introduction of color and/or sound is a false comparison, because neither of those required additional paraphernalia. Itâs not that the glasses give me a headache (some people do experience those from 3-D movies, but theyâre working on that); I just donât like wearing them over my prescription lenses.
And of course I sympathize with mightaswellbeâs concerns.

3-D TV without glasses is here. Itâs just not commercially available yet. Itâs called autostereoscopy.
I was at Harrods in London this past summer and they had such a TV on display that is manufactured by LG.

Mightaswellbe, I canât see 3D either. I donât have binocular vision. Iâm farsighted with a high + astigmatism, and a different prescription for each eye. People donât believe me when I tell them I canât see it. They just say âNo look, there it is.â, as if thatâs going to make me see it.
High Def is nice though.
