The “alpha dog” store analogy might be a little bit unfortunate for Mr. Stantis.Pretty much every dog store, dog shelter, and so on has a lot of repetitive yapping going on.

Politics is now a team sport, victory at any cost and no room at all for compromise or cooperation for the common good.

@dzw3030 I hope you are addressing that remark to the Republicans. The Democrats have always been willing too compromise. but with the Republicans its all or nothing at all. So they get nothing.

dzw3030 What you don’t seem to understand is that every House bill sent to the Senate has a “Poison Pill” attached to it. Something that always adversely affects the poor and middleclass. Reducing their income in some way while at the same time giving the wealthy a big tax break. The rich always cry “Class Warfare” and they are right The problem is the poor and middle class don’t realize there is a war on. They are too busy trying to put food on the table. and are too stupid to realize that their vote is the only weapon they have to fight with. And doubly stupid not to realize that huge sums of money are being funneled into the Republicans coffers by these same rich to elect candidates that will give them the most in return. And they have this rotten “Supreme Court” to help them.

A democrat calls any sensible reduction in bloated Federal spending a “poison pill.” To give Obama some credit, the economy is finally growing again, seemingly in response to his sequester.
