Don’t you have to have an income to get a refund Broomie?

Those 3 words are recomended over ‘I Love You???’

I guess if the “lady” in question is Broomie, those three little words are not likely to be “I love you”; but what taxes does she get a refund for paying? Or rather, what taxes does she pay? Does she earn an income?

Anyone that gets an income tax refund must enjoy giving the government an “Interest Free Loan”. I have better ways to invest my funds.

Some people enjoy getting a large refund. Their grade school math teacher should be fired.

Why this insistence that Broomie doesn’t have an income? We often see her applying for jobs. Maybe from time to time she actually gets one.

I have to pay this year

I didn’t loan the Gov’t any bucks in ‘09. Got to pay $54.00

I think of the taxes as being owed as soon as the income is earned, with the yearly filing just being a reconciliation of the balance. My withholdings are pretty well in line with what I owe, so whether I pay or get a refund it’s pretty small.

Of course, getting a check is more pleasant than sending one, and since it’s already been taxed and isn’t part of my budget, it’s “fun money”!

Well, just for those who don’t know, many people who do not pay taxes DO get income tax refunds via things like the Earned Income Credit. My daughter who is a single mother and college student gets back way more than she pays in withholding from her job. So is it dumb to get a refund if you’re getting back more than you let the government use, or is that a smart investment?

I thought Broomie’s favorite words were “I give up,” especially when spoken by a man she’d been chasing.

We get really excited about a tax refund until we realize that it was our money in the first place.

NOLA That’s called WELFARE or “Being on the Dole”.

Just what every Liberal Loves and has nothing to do with investment.

Let’s call it what it is.

BC: NOLA KID IS NOT ON WELFARE if she is working and going to college. The country is investing in her as a future tax payer. I’d much rather see the tax dollar going to her than the “War.”
