Laura: Why so glum, sweetie? Adam: I feel old. We didn't go out and drink green beer yesterday. Laura: Well, that's hardly a reason to feel old. Adam: And our kids live in a world I don't understand. Laura: Parents have always felt that way. Adam: I'm enjoying "Matlock" reruns. Laura: Ooh. I can't help. You're too far gone.

If you are going to watch Andy Griffith reruns at least make them The Andy Griffith Show. Mayberry never gets old.

In the Bibb Co, GA. Law Enforcement Center (jail) the TV is controlled by hip-hop gangsta types. But they never miss ‘Matlock’, or ‘In the Heat of the Night’.
Go figure.

Matlock? The Rockford Files?
I only watched the first season of NUMB3RS. I quit watching it when Sabrina Lloyd (of Sliders and Sports Night) left the show.

I always enjoyed watching James Gardner as “Matlock”. He was also good playing the sheriff of Mayberry. What a talent!
anorok2 over 14 years ago
Yeah, jtpozenel, I did too. I also enjoyed Gomer Pyle on the Rockford Files!

Joe -
Dude ease up a bit. Ya gotta admit some of that stuff is funny.
Ya wins some ya lose somes…
You do come out with gems and other days not so much.
I’ve learned a few things from your postings and I’m not that far behind you in the age bracket.
I’m just sayin

@ Mr Doty,
It’s ok if you do it to others but you get upset if others do it to you?
Talk about a double standard!
Anyone can make a mistake.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member over 14 years ago
I think Joe was very gracious in saying he made a mistake, And of course there some of you were, waiting to pounce! So what else is new?
alviebird over 14 years ago
As I said before, “Joe just rubs some people the wrong way”.
Some people need to get thicker skins.

never met a Joe I didn’t like.

Oh Adam, your nose would push all the beer out of your glass. Stick with Matlock reruns.
James Garner was Maverick (close enough to Matlock to confuse), but Rockford came, what, 15 years later? Either way, all 3 shows were good. Put away the pitchforks and torches. One day it might be you.
I know what he does, sometimes he does it to me, but you don’t have to do what some of you do to him. It doesn’t make him more wrong and you right at all. It makes you more wrong. Think about it.

What he said. /\

Careful, guys - he flags critics.
No, Ushindi, he flags people who personally insult him, and he should. It brings to the attention of the moderators people who are violating the user agreement by harassing other users. Eventually, we’ll just ban all of those people. So, thank you, Joe.

Come to think of it, that wasn’t James Gardner as Matlock was it?
I really liked that Cockatoo that he owned in the show though. Wasn’t his name Fred?

I think there are several people with double standards on GoComics.
Joe you made a mistake. It’s not really a big deal. Everyone does it sometimes. Everyone gets called on it sometimes. I am sorry you haven’t been sleeping / feeling well, but please don’t take it too seriously. I hope you start sleeping / feeling better soon.

Oh Susan, what about the CSI’s?

My avatar says:
“Thanks for mentioning uncle Fred”.
That was ‘Baretta’, with Robert Blake.

Susan it’s not the gore, it’s the fascinating ways they find the forensic evidence. Which for the most part is VERY factual. I have a friend in that line of work and most of what is on the show is fact.

Dry - And wouldn’t it be great if they could actually process that info as fast as they do on TV?
