ndalaff: They can stick to bare, vertical glass too. One showing up recently on our kitchen window made me worry about our geckos which also hung out in that space because of insects attracted by the kitchen light. The mantis just waited, while the geckos were more active and entertaining.
Night-Gaunt49: So are the geckos, most of the time, but they do stalk on occasion, and even swallow a lightning bug, which shows light through their translucent skin.
